2. Service Appointments
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information, property information, and a description of the plumbing issue when scheduling service.
Appointment times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather, emergency calls, the complexity of previous service calls, parts availability, or other circumstances beyond our control.
We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the scheduled service window but do not guarantee an exact arrival time unless expressly agreed to in writing.

3. Estimates and Pricing
When applicable, Preferred Professional Plumbing may provide an estimate before beginning work.
An estimate is based on the information and conditions reasonably observable at the time it is prepared. Hidden damage, concealed plumbing, inaccessible pipes, code violations, deteriorated materials, unexpected site conditions, or additional problems discovered after work begins may require additional labor, materials, or services.
If additional work is required beyond the originally authorized scope, we will generally seek customer authorization before performing the additional work whenever reasonably possible.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, estimates do not include work that was not included in the original scope.

4. Customer Authorization
By approving a plumbing service, estimate, proposal, work order, or other authorization, the customer authorizes Preferred Professional Plumbing to perform the agreed-upon work.
The customer represents that they have the authority to authorize plumbing work at the property or have obtained permission from the property owner.
Tenants, property managers, contractors, and other individuals requesting service may be responsible for obtaining any required authorization from the property owner.

5. Access to Property
Customers must provide reasonable and safe access to the areas where plumbing services are being performed.
Customers may be responsible for moving personal belongings, furniture, stored items, or other obstacles that prevent reasonable access to plumbing equipment or work areas.
If plumbing equipment or piping is located behind walls, ceilings, floors, cabinets, finished surfaces, landscaping, or other structures, additional work may be necessary to access the plumbing.
Preferred Professional Plumbing is not responsible for repairing, repainting, refinishing, replacing, or restoring surfaces that must be removed or disturbed to access concealed plumbing unless those services are specifically included in the written scope of work.

6. Existing Plumbing and Property Conditions
Plumbing systems may contain old, deteriorated, corroded, damaged, improperly installed, or non-code-compliant components.
Working on existing plumbing can sometimes cause previously weakened components to fail or reveal additional problems.
Preferred Professional Plumbing is not responsible for pre-existing conditions or failures of unrelated components that were not caused by our work.
Where reasonably necessary, we may recommend replacement or additional repairs when existing plumbing conditions prevent the requested service from being completed safely or properly.

7. Permits, Inspections, and Code Requirements
Certain plumbing work may require permits, inspections, licensed tradespeople, or compliance with applicable federal, state, county, or municipal requirements.
Where applicable, Preferred Professional Plumbing may obtain or coordinate required permits as part of the agreed scope of work.
Permit fees, inspection fees, engineering fees, or other governmental charges may be charged separately unless specifically included in the estimate.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information regarding the property and notifying Preferred Professional Plumbing of known restrictions, prior work, violations, or requirements affecting the plumbing system.

8. Payment
Payment is due according to the payment terms presented at the time services are authorized or completed.
Preferred Professional Plumbing may accept payment methods designated by the company, which may include credit cards, debit cards, checks, electronic payments, or other approved methods.
For larger projects, deposits or progress payments may be required before or during the project.
If payment is not received when due, Preferred Professional Plumbing may suspend additional work until the outstanding balance is paid, subject to applicable law.
Customers may also be responsible for reasonable collection costs, returned-payment fees, or other charges permitted by applicable law and the applicable service agreement.

9. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers should provide as much notice as reasonably possible when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.
Preferred Professional Plumbing may charge a cancellation, trip, or service-call fee when permitted by law and when such fee was disclosed or agreed to before the appointment.
Emergency service calls, special-order materials, scheduled projects, or appointments requiring significant preparation may be subject to additional cancellation terms.

10. Emergency Plumbing Services
Emergency plumbing services are intended for urgent plumbing problems that may cause significant property damage or disruption.
Examples may include:
-
Burst or severely leaking pipes
-
Major sewer backups
-
Significant water leaks
-
Loss of essential plumbing service
-
Overflowing fixtures
-
Other urgent plumbing failures
Customers should take reasonable steps to minimize potential damage when safe to do so, including shutting off the appropriate water supply.
Emergency service availability, response times, pricing, and service areas may vary.
Calling Preferred Professional Plumbing does not guarantee that a particular emergency condition can be immediately resolved.

11. Drain and Sewer Cleaning
Drain cleaning and sewer cleaning are intended to restore or improve flow through plumbing systems.
Cleaning a drain or sewer line does not necessarily correct the underlying cause of a blockage.
Recurring clogs may be caused by:
-
Root intrusion
-
Broken or collapsed sewer lines
-
Offset pipe connections
-
Grease buildup
-
Pipe deterioration
-
Foreign objects
-
Improper installation
-
Structural damage
-
Other underlying plumbing conditions
When appropriate, Preferred Professional Plumbing may recommend camera inspections, hydro jetting, sewer repair, sewer replacement, or other services.
Customers understand that cleaning an existing line does not guarantee that the line will remain clear indefinitely.

12. Sewer Repair and Replacement
Sewer repairs and replacements may require excavation, equipment access, removal of landscaping or hardscaping, or other construction-related work.
Unless specifically included in the written scope of work, restoration of landscaping, concrete, asphalt, flooring, drywall, paint, cabinetry, or other finished surfaces may not be included.
Existing underground conditions may differ from available records or customer-provided information.
Preferred Professional Plumbing will make reasonable efforts to perform authorized work professionally and in accordance with applicable requirements.

13. Parts and Materials
Preferred Professional Plumbing may use replacement parts and materials selected based on compatibility, availability, performance, applicable plumbing requirements, and the scope of work.
If a requested manufacturer, product, finish, or part is unavailable, discontinued, delayed, or incompatible with the existing plumbing system, an alternative may be recommended.
Special-order products may be subject to separate manufacturer return and warranty policies.

14. Manufacturer Warranties
Certain plumbing fixtures, equipment, parts, and materials may carry manufacturer warranties.
Manufacturer warranties are provided by the applicable manufacturer and may be subject to the manufacturer's terms, exclusions, registration requirements, and limitations.
Preferred Professional Plumbing does not guarantee or extend a manufacturer's warranty unless expressly stated in writing.
Where applicable, we may assist customers with manufacturer warranty claims, but the final determination of warranty coverage is made by the manufacturer.

15. Workmanship Warranty
When Preferred Professional Plumbing provides a workmanship warranty for a particular service, the duration and scope of that warranty will be stated in the applicable estimate, invoice, proposal, or written service agreement.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, a workmanship warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, freezing, corrosion, root intrusion, excessive water pressure, alterations by another contractor, pre-existing conditions, improper maintenance, or other circumstances outside the original scope of work.
Warranty claims must be reported within the applicable warranty period.

16. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
-
Providing accurate information about the property and plumbing system
-
Providing reasonable access to the work area
-
Disclosing known plumbing problems or prior repairs
-
Obtaining owner authorization when required
-
Following reasonable maintenance recommendations
-
Protecting or removing valuable personal property from work areas
-
Paying invoices when due
-
Providing a safe working environment
Customers should notify Preferred Professional Plumbing of known hazards, including unsafe electrical conditions, hazardous materials, structural concerns, or other conditions that could affect the safety of workers.

17. Unsafe Conditions
Preferred Professional Plumbing may refuse, postpone, or stop work if conditions are unsafe or if performing the requested service could create an unreasonable risk to employees, contractors, customers, property, or the public.
Unsafe conditions may include exposed electrical hazards, structural instability, hazardous materials, contaminated water, inaccessible plumbing, aggressive animals, or other dangerous circumstances.
Work may resume when the unsafe condition has been corrected or appropriate arrangements have been made.

18. Damage and Restoration
Preferred Professional Plumbing will use reasonable care while performing plumbing services.
However, accessing concealed plumbing may require cutting, drilling, removing, or disturbing building materials.
Unless specifically included in the written scope of work, customers are responsible for restoration of drywall, plaster, paint, flooring, tile, cabinetry, countertops, landscaping, concrete, asphalt, or other finished surfaces affected by necessary access.

19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Preferred Professional Plumbing shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or unforeseeable damages arising from the use of our services, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

20. Third-Party Contractors
Certain projects may require services from other licensed professionals, contractors, municipalities, utility providers, engineers, restoration companies, or other third parties.
Unless otherwise expressly agreed, Preferred Professional Plumbing is not responsible for delays, acts, omissions, pricing, warranties, or workmanship of independent third parties.

25. Force Majeure
Preferred Professional Plumbing shall not be responsible for delays or inability to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, utility interruptions, labor shortages, supply-chain disruptions, equipment failures, transportation delays, or other extraordinary circumstances.

26. Changes to These Terms

These Terms, together with any applicable estimate, proposal, invoice, work authorization, service agreement, warranty, or other written agreement provided by Preferred Professional Plumbing, constitute the agreement governing the applicable services.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and a specific written service agreement signed or otherwise authorized by the customer, the specific written agreement will control to the extent of the conflict.
